The KRI Foundation is proud to announce its recent support for Rootstown High School’s upper-level art students. Through funding provided by the KRI Foundation and Brenda Iarussi, students were able to participate in an educational field trip to Akron Glass Works and Don Drumm Studios.
This experience offered students a unique opportunity to engage with the work of hundreds of local artists while gaining hands-on exposure to the glassmaking process. Students also had the opportunity to create their own blown-glass flowers, allowing them to better understand the skill, creativity, and craftsmanship involved in this art form.
The KRI Foundation strongly believes in the value of experiential learning and is pleased to have made this inspiring and enriching opportunity possible for the Rootstown High School art students.
The KRI Foundation is proud to announce its recent support for Rootstown Middle School's 7th-grade class. Thanks to funding provided by the KRI Foundation and Brenda Iarussi, students were able to visit Hale Farm & Village, a living history museum within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park managed by the Western Reserve Historical Society.
This field trip offered the 7th graders a valuable opportunity to experience life in the 1800s firsthand. They observed historical demonstrations, including candle making and glass blowing, learned about period farming techniques, and explored a schoolhouse over two centuries old.
The KRI Foundation believes in the importance of experiential learning and is happy to have facilitated this memorable and educational outing for the Rootstown Middle School students.
